East Tennessee Youth Outdoors is a group of men and women in the Jonesborough, Tennessee area who share a passion for introducing today's youth to the wonders of God's great outdoors.
ETYO annually hosts a two-day event centered around the Tennessee young sportsman turkey hunt each spring.
Young hunters will make unforgettable memories while learning about wildlife, conservation, service, responsibility, ethics, safety, and competition.
This event is completely free of charge thanks to dozens of generous individuals and organizations that donate their time, money, land, services, and resources to the cause.
Registration is OPEN for the ETYO Turkey Hunt Event on April 5-6, 2024!
Youth hunters must be age 6 to 16 to participate in the turkey hunt.
All youth participants must be registered to attend, including non-hunting participants.

Each year we gather non-perishable food items to donate to the Sulphur Springs Community Help Center.
Please help us by bringing some canned food or other items to the event!
Tennessee wildlife laws have always required hunters to get permission from the landowner before hunting.
The “hunting by written permission” law (amendment to Tennessee Code Annotated 70-4-106) applies to all hunters.

Arrow Ministries is an non-profit grass roots Christian organization that is an outreach program with a two-fold mission. The primary goal is to provide area youth with fundamental Christian learning by incorporating an entertaining outdoor skill to help hold their interest. Secondly, as avid archers, to seek to create an appreciation of and an interest in the sport of archery. The hopes are that not only their faith would grow and flourish, but their enthusiasm for the sport as well. Christ using archery as a way to spread God's word. Arrow Ministries goals are:
Survival skills are not just for woods, but for life as well. Arrow Ministries belief is through:
These traits build good character and attitude on and off the hunting grounds of life. As they hear the word of God, they are encouraged to allow God to direct their lives and be in control. Ultimately, they will feel the bow controlling the arrow, and relate how it is up to them as individuals, to aim for the real prize, Heaven.
This year we will have a camouflage clothing swap. Most of us have closets full of camo hunting clothes! If you have any hunting clothes, boots, socks, backpacks, etc. that no longer fit or that you no longer use, please bring them so someone else can use them! This is a great opportunity to help someone just getting started in hunting!
Shotgun Shoot Competition
Participants will be divided up by age into three groups.
Each group will shoot from the same distance, each group with their own shotgun.
The target will be a turkey head with a circle on it.
The shooter in each age group with the most hits inside the circle wins the competition.
